.44 caliber is a bit big, I find. 9mm/.38 is nice enough and no one can argue that 16 rounds isn’t comforting but 10mm/.40 is the sweet spot for the non-‌marksman, I think. For those of you putting ’em through the pips at 25 yards, there’s no reason not to go with a Fabrique Nationale Five-‌seveN Tactical, no? The body armor today could probably suck up all 10 rounds from my .40 S&W Hi-‌Power but one 5.7mm armor piercing round would zip right through and rattle up and down that poor cop’s rib cage. Hell, you could probably nail him through his vehicle door or concrete cover too. And you’d get 19 more tries if you missed.
