The only statistic you should keep in mind is that if you put that thing in a baggie, like you should, the chance drops by 99%. As unpleasant as chlamydia and friends are—undiagnosed chlamydia can probably cause cervical cancer, for example—they have even more troublesome big brothers like HIV and herpes for which the free clinic won’t be able to help you much.
Unless you’ve been in a monogamous relationship for a year and you have both tested clean on everything, always use condoms, kids.
Oh, and by “kids” I mean anyone of legal age to consent to sexual activity, of course. Wouldn’t want to send the wrong message on how to avoid catching a searingly painful or even fatal disease to children. God, no.
