I think I can sum up the problem in big, vague chunks.
33% of the problem is great teachers are underpaid, terrible teachers are almost impossible to fire, and radical teachers rarely last long enough to be tenured.
33% of the problem is parenting should be the hardest job in the world but since most everyone fucks it up it means teaching is.
33% of the problem is government runs the schools and government never, ever uses money wisely or does anywhere near as good a job as possible.
1% of the problem is 99% of you didn’t realize we had 1% left.
