The AHOLS (American Heritage Organization of Love and Sympathy) correctly and bravely determined that the word was eroding the self-esteem of overly-trusting individuals who were also born without the gene that allows one to form cogent assessments of rudimentary issues. So today the word, along with many other hate-terms and epithets, is not found in reputable dictionaries. I know I feel better about myself for it.
